It is cheaper than HP‘s own USI Pen which is usually out of stock but has a rechargeable battery. The Lenovo USI Pen is available on for $39.99. So if you buy Lenovo’s stylus and eventually ditch the Chromebook Duet, you can still hold on to your stylus and use it with other compatible devices.

With the USI standard, you can use the Lenovo USI Pen on any device that supports the standard. The stylus uses the USI (Universal Stylus Initiative) standard which Google is pushing to be available on Chromebooks that support stylus input. A week or so ago, I posted here my personal experience with the IdeaPad Duet, a new ChromeOS tablet. Unfortunately, it is not rechargeable as it uses an AAAA battery. The stylus which weighs about 14 grams and is about 137 millimeters will last up to 150 days if you use it for just 2 hours a day. Lenovo says the stylus has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for natural writing, fine art, or graphic design. If you usually use a stylus such as for notetaking, graphic design, or drawing, then the new Lenovo USI Pen is a necessary purchase. The Chromebook tablet ships with a keyboard included in the box, so you can get some work done. Now, Lenovo has a new accessory for it that makes the tablet even more useful. The tablet has received several positive reviews for its value for money. Also storage is good even if it doesn't have card slot.If you are looking to grab your first Chromebook without breaking the bank, the Lenovo Duet Chromebook is your best bet. Would definitely upgrade later to 120hz oled if they come out with one. Speed 8/10, portability 9/10, functionality 9/10 works great with google services and phones using google messenger. Display 8/10 sound 7/10 (not loud enough sometimes. This replaced a 10" Samsung tab I had and 13" is nicer even if it is bigger it still nice and portable. Weighing just 15.8 ounces, this tablet is easy to take with you. Best to have it insured even if it's not a expensive tab/Chromebook. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet features USI stylus support, but the stylus is sold separately. After the last update it's been working like normal so far but Lenovo support does not inspire confidence. I was scared this one would do the same after it kept freezing and had to do resets on it. After 14 days of use and updated it, it just turned off and never came back on. This is my second one after seeing this at Bestbuy and that one having weird issues with the screen where it would apply a filter when using the menu and then going back to a normal screen. Screen quality is nice for a oled 1080p but could have been better but again for the price good. Disappointed they don't include the pen and if you order the pen from Lenovo they don't include the holder! Why Lenovo? Pen seems decent but not near the response of the Samsung or apple pencil. For the price it's a good Chromebook with keyboard included.
